My Baptism

Today, I want to share a significant moment in my life—my baptism. This video captures the essence of my journey and my transformation through faith in Jesus.

Before Jesus

Before I came to know Jesus, my life appeared fine on the outside. I was a decent person and thought things were okay, yet beneath that surface, I faced a void of direction and purpose. I felt as if I was just floating through life. Although I tried to live a good life, I lacked a solid standard or framework to guide me. I was moving forward but was unsure of what I was truly aiming for.

How I Found Faith

I was raised in the Roman Catholic church; I was baptized as a baby, went through Sunday school, and completed my First Communion and Confirmation. In some ways, I always believed. However, as I grew older, I began to question my faith amid societal pressures that made me feel uncomfortable about my beliefs. To cope, I buried my faith and built walls to protect myself.

Fortunately, I had an incredible support system—loving family, friends, and my girlfriend—who cared deeply about my spiritual well-being. Their concern for my salvation led me to New Hope, where the boldness of the church community helped me rediscover my faith. With their encouragement, those walls began to crumble, and I was finally able to put my trust in Jesus wholeheartedly.

Life Now

Today, my life feels completely different. I’ve found the framework I was missing, and I feel lighter. Though I was a decent person before, grounding my life in the teachings of the Bible has challenged me to become a better man. This foundation has empowered me to be a true leader for my family, and I am excited about the continued growth in my faith.

This is why I am taking this important step of baptism today—to publicly declare my commitment to Jesus and embrace the new life I’ve found in Him. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me!
